NAPCB POLICY CONCERNING
COMPLAINTS
If you wish to file a complaint
regarding an NAPCB breeder,
complaints must be submitted
in the following manner:
All complaints must be neatly
handwritten
by the person
who is making the complaint
and must be submitted by
the legal owner(s) of the
NAPCB registered dog
as shown on the registration
certificate.
Your complaint must be
signed and dated.
Your complaint must also
include
a neatly typed signed &
dated copy
of the handwritten letter.
Your complaint must include
all relevent documentation
including all Veterinary
documentation,
diagnosis, treatment and/or
medication given,
future treatment recommended,
current prognosis,
all relevent health related
invoices to date,
and estimates for all future
relevent medical services.
Your complaint must include
a copy of the health guarantee
that was given to you by
your breeder at time of purchase.
Your complaint must include
your breeder's full name
kennel name, address, and
phone number.
Your complaint must include
a copy of your NAPCB registration certificate.
All complaints must be
signed, dated, and notarizied
by all owners of
the dog.
We will not investigate
complaints that are not notarized.
All complaints must include
a copy of owner(s) photo ID.
All complaints must include
a recent photo of your dog.
All complaints must include
your Veterinarian's name, address, & phone number.
If specialists are involved,
we need that information as well.
If you are filing a complaint
regarding care & conditions,
your complaint must be
verified by a minimum of three additional adults
who have actually recently
witnessed those conditions.
We do not investigate complaints
based on heresay alone.
You must include photos
to substantiate your claims.
If your breeder gave you
a written guarantee regarding temperament,
and you are filing a complaint
regarding an unstable temperament,
you must include a copy
of that guarantee.
You must also include a
completed evaluation form
from an experienced dog
trainer
as well as a well established
canine behavorist.
You must submit evidence
that you have unsuccessfully attempted
to resolve the situation
with your breeder
before filing the
complaint with the NAPCB.
All complaints must include
owner's home phone number.
Cell phone numbers are
not
acceptable.
We do not respond
to complaints
made via phone calls or
email.
We do not investigate frivilous
complaints.
Valid complaints will be
investigated as quickly as possible.
